2. MEMBERSHIP
- Annual dues are $650.00 for non-dog owners.
- A deposit of $325.00 is due by January 31st to hold your spot in the club.
- Dues are to be paid in full on or before April 30th.
- A late fee of $25.00 will be enforced to all members not paid in full by April 30th.
- ANY AND ALL MONIES PAID TOWARD DUES ARE NON-REFUNDABLE
- Annual membership dates are July 1st thru June 30th the following calendar year.
- No member shall be allowed to hunt any season until ALL DUES, RAFFLE TICKETS AND CAMPER FEES are paid in full – this includes, but not limited to predator, small game, big game and birds.
- There will be a mandatory raffle where all club members, dog runners, and board members will be required to sell $100.00 in raffle tickets. All money will be due at or before the time a member is issued raffle tickets.
- It is the member’s responsibility to return the raffle tickets no later than 6:00 AM the day of the drawing.
- RAFFLE TICKETS MUST BE PAID IN FULL PRIOR TO HUNTING ANY SEASON
- Each member is required to attend 3 workdays of at least six hours per day. A fee of $75.00 will be collected for each day not worked. All workdays must be completed, or money paid prior to opening day of general firearms season for deer or member will not be allowed to hunt.
- Members’ spouses taking their own stand will be required to pay 50% of total annual non-dog owner dues plus raffle.
- Young Members
- Members' children attending school full time (22 and under) hunt for free.
- Young hunters will sit on stand with experienced hunter until determined by mutual agreement of parent and hunt club president, or board member if president is unavailable, that they can be put on their own stand.
- Young Members aged 16 and older will be required to complete 3 workdays.
- Members’ that are out of school but under the age of 21 as of Oct 1st within the membership year will be required to pay 50% of total annual dues plus 3 workdays.
- All members are required to sign all release of liability forms. Even if not signed, by accepting membership to Bent Barrel Hunt Club, member assumes all responsibilities associated with release forms.
- Membership is subject to approval of the board.

3. GENERAL RULES
- There will be no hunting and no handling of firearms while under the influence of drugs or alcohol.
- No Illegal drugs permitted on any club property. No illegal drugs, marijuana or alcohol consumption permitted during any hunt.
- All members and guests must have proper license and tags or they will be immediately removed from the club without refund.
- All guns must be unloaded at meeting sites, clubhouse area and while walking to/from stands.
- No refunds if a member’s membership is terminated for any violation.
- Persons keeping dogs in pens will be responsible for cleanliness.
- No deer stands are to be built or placed on club property without permission from the board members.
- There will be no organized deer or bear hunts (dog hunts or man drives) without the presence of a board member.
- All deer harvested during any organized hunt MUST be brought back to the clubhouse for cleaning and meat draw.
- No squirrel, rabbit or other small game hunting prior to or during deer season. This includes Sundays.
- No slugs during organized hunts.
- No rifles are permitted at any time for deer hunting (this excludes muzzle loader).
- Each person harvesting a deer is responsible for removing all remains from hunt club area. No meat is to be taken until remains are removed.
- The person harvesting the deer gets his/her choice of meat (1 loin or 1 ham for example) off of deer that he/she kills. If two deer are killed and tagged by the same person, he/she gets choice off of one deer and will draw for his/her second.
- No one will run dogs on a non-scheduled hunting day (rabbit hunting excluded).
- Killing small deer is not allowed.
- There will be a $100 fine for any deer killed that weighs less than 70 pounds. The second time will be $100 and loss of hunting rights for the remainder of the season. If second fine is not paid, member will not be eligible to return for future membership.
- Hunters age 15 and under hunting on a stand by themselves are eligible to kill one deer under the 70 pound weight limit.
- Hunters age 15 and under hunting on a stand with an adult may NOT kill an underweight deer.
- Sign in rules for all non-organized hunt days for all seasons (no person is exempt):
- No member can sign in for a specific area to hunt more than 24 hours in advance
- All hunters must be signed in at the mailbox located at the respective property
- Absolutely no dog hunting on Sundays (rabbit hunting excluded). Immediate membership termination to all parties involved.
- Tree stand safety:
- All members and guests utilizing club or personal stands are REQUIRED to wear a safety harness or other approved fall protection.
- Stools with legs should NOT be used on any club or private stands, a bucket or other seat with a solid base that will not fall within cracks or holes is recommended.
- By not following club safety policies, member releases the club, board members, members, and property owners/lease of all liability.
- We as a club will do our best to enforce a good neighbor policy. If a problem arises, please contact a club board member.
4. VISITOR HUNTING
- Cost is $40.00 per day with no exceptions as to where the club hunts. Money will be collected prior to hunting. This includes all hunting seasons where visitors are allowed.
- A limited number of guests are allowed per scheduled hunting day and must be approved by David Owens or Mike Sandler in advanced.
- The member who invites visitor is responsible for visitor’s actions and must be present at time of hunt.
- A member can have only two visitors per season.
- A visitor can only hunt two times and must be completed in the same year.
- If member or visitor willfully destroys any property or equipment, he/she is subject to pay for damages.
- No visitors allowed during bow season, black powder season, and opening week of deer season.
- No guests with rabbit dogs allowed.
- During Spring Gobbler season, members must notify club official if wishing to bring a visitor.
- NO VISITORS ON OPENING DAY AND SATURDAYS OF SPRING GOBBLER SEASON
- Member must contact club official in advance if visitor is wishing to stay overnight in the clubhouse. Members have priority over bunks.
- Former members will not be allowed to hunt as a visitor unless they have moved out of state and also pay a visitor fee.
- All visitors are required to sign all release forms. Even if not signed, by accepting the privilege to hunt as a visitor with Bent Barrel Hunt Club, visitor assumes all responsibilities associated with all release forms. This will be the responsibility of the member inviting the visitor.
5. CAMPERS / CLUBHOUSE
- Prior approval is needed from President to put camper at clubhouse. Call David Owens at 757-373-4204.
- Camper fee is $75 annually
- Contact David Owens prior to changing out current campers. Max length of camper is 24 foot (2/1/21).
- No new or major overhaul of structures is allowed to be built without prior approval from President.
- No sewer lines may be exposed, all drains MUST be capped.
- Owner of the camper is responsible for any mandated repairs.
- If the owner of a camper decides to sell the camper, it does not mean that the buyer automatically gets the camper location. President maintains a camper site waiting list.
- No smoking in the clubhouse. No pets in the clubhouse.
- Females are welcome during hunting season, but must sleep in campers during all deer seasons. Women will not be allowed to sleep in the clubhouse during any deer season.
- Persons staying in the Clubhouse will be responsible for cleaning up.
- No side arms allowed at the clubhouse at any time. Sidearms are to be kept locked away until off of clubhouse property.
6. PROPERTIES
- Members will be held responsible for cleaning up after themselves on all hunt club properties.
- Reference Exhibit A for specific property rules and access limitations (updated as deer season approaches)
